2006-2007 PBA Philippine Cup

On: 08 October 2007

The numbers above showed that there were 5 Realtors who average in double figure in scoring for the whole duration of the 2006-2007 PBA Philippine Cup. Leading the pack in scoring is the high-flying sensation and the number 1 pick in the draft, Kelly Williams. Aside from scoring, Williams also ranked first in rebounds (10.08 rpg) and in minutes played (34.3 mpg). Dennis Espino, Alex Cabagnot, Paolo Mendoza and Kenneth Duremdes complete the 5 scoring leaders.

It is worth noting that Nelbert Omolon (9.73 ppg) and Marlou Aquino (8.54 ppg) closely support the five scorers. What is surprising, though, is that Omolon also ranked 3rd in rebounding for the team (5.9 rpg), way ahead than the average of the 6'9" slotman Aquino (3.5 rpg). Espino averaged close to 6.0 rpg.
Also worth noting that the acquisition Cabagnot in 2006 and Ronnie Bughao prior to this season has enabled Coach Al Francis Chua to slide Paolo Mendoza to the shooting guard spot, a position he played in the amateurs and is more comfortable with based on his numbers.

In the assist department, there is no doubt that Cabagnot is the team's play director. His average of 6.0 apg is not only the team's best, but also one of the top in the league.
